The 4 superpowers of an event planner
Event planners have superpowers, i.e. skills that make them different and special and help them stand out professionally and deal with the complexities that every good event planner has to overcome.
What are these superpowers?
There is nothing that gives a better result in an event than to surprise. Something that surprises does so because of its exclusivity, because of its unexpectedness. So, even if you know that something works, take risks and don’t stop surprising your audience.
In this sense, to surprise you have to be one step ahead of others and know their expectations in order to exceed them. Strive to exceed their expectations and your own, constantly strive to make your next event even better and you will succeed!
A kind of spidey sense, an “intuition”, which alerts you to any inconvenience or unforeseen event that may arise on the fly (something that is quite common). This superpower is developed through experience, and helps you anticipate potential problems and fix them before they happen. Do you know the saying “the cure is better than the disease”? We are sure it was invented by an event manager who learned to prevent a problem before fixing it.
Stronger than steel
An event manager is made, at the very least, of graphene. It is impossible for anything or anyone to kill an event manager, because he or she can withstand anything. This superpower accompanies the event planner all day long, from the preparations to the moment when everyone has left and the only thing left to do is pick up. Although, let’s not kid ourselves, three or four coffees a day also help a little to maintain this resistance…
Better team than Avengers
If there is one thing there is no doubt about, it is that a good organizational team is essential. If Ironman, Spiderman, Black Widow, Hulk and Captain America make a good team, a team of event managers are THE TEAM. Not only is good communication essential, but also excellent coordination between all of them. In this way, and by reinforcing the superpowers of each of its members, unforeseen events are always dealt with and everything turns out well.
