Gala Dinner · Font de la Canya · 2025

Hollywood-themed corporate event for ADP, the North American human capital management multinational, at Font de la Canya.

The challenge

Hollywood is the most overused concept in the European corporate event.

The risk of a corporate event with a Hollywood concept is not a shortage of references — it is saturation. The red carpet, the photocall with a film star, the costumed waiter, the neon sign with the company year: any attendee at a European corporate event of the last twenty years has already seen those elements. If Bacus produces a literal Hollywood event, the guest reads it in two minutes as bought décor, not as a real production.

The second problem was the venue. Font de la Canya is an outdoor space in the Penedès landscape, with its own architecture that co-exists poorly with generic gold typography and red carpet. Applying the Hollywood concept over a space with a strong identity required treating the concept as an aesthetic filter, not as a superimposed set. The production had to make the space feel like Hollywood without betraying what the space itself is.

Bacus's response

Hollywood treated as artistic direction, not as décor.

Bacus framed the Hollywood concept as a narrative vehicle, not as a prop catalogue. The production decision was to treat the golden aesthetic of classic studio cinema — warm palette, dramatic portrait lighting, satin and velvet textures, live big band music — as a filter that transformed the visual identity of the venue without erasing it. Font de la Canya functioned as a set: the architecture of the space maintained its character and the production elements added the cinematic layer on top.

The evening was structured as an internal ADP awards ceremony, with the team members themselves as the protagonists of the recognition moments. The Hollywood metaphor was not only aesthetic — it was narrative. Each recognition was an award presentation, each name announced was a stage moment, each team member had their moment in the spotlight. Bacus produced the artistic direction, audiovisual production, catering, live music, and scene direction of the complete act.

The experience

The ADP team arrives at the venue and enters the film.

The arrival at Font de la Canya was designed as a film opening: the path into the venue lit with gold torchères, the big band audible from inside before the first guest crossed the entrance, the welcome personnel uniformed in the style of the classic period. From the first metre, the event communicated that the night had real artistic direction, not last-minute decoration.

Throughout the evening, the rhythm alternated relaxed conversation blocks with internal recognition moments, each announced by the master of ceremonies with the formal language of a real awards ceremony. Team members who came on stage did so with the golden scenography behind them, the live band playing, and the rest of the team applauding from the tables. Bacus coordinated scene direction second by second so that the timing of each moment aligned with the script and the music responded to each entry.

The result

A corporate gala remembered as an evening, not as a company party.

ADP closed the night with the team on the dance floor and with the internal recognition moments already integrated into the company's collective narrative. The Hollywood concept worked because it was treated as a complete production — venue, music, lighting, script, ceremony — and not as the application of aesthetics over a standard event. The team members who received recognition lived it in a format that carries real visual and dramatic weight, not just applause in a convention plenary.

Bacus maintains an active relationship with ADP for subsequent corporate events, confirming the studio's fit with a client that combines the operational rigour of a multinational with the need to produce team moments worthy of the effort it asks for throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions · ADP Hollywood

What readers ask after this case.

  • A Hollywood-themed corporate event that works treats the concept as full artistic direction — colour palette, lighting, live big band music, evening script — and not as a superimposed set over a standard event. The difference between a produced concept and bought décor lies in whether all the event's elements respond to the same aesthetic logic or only some of them do. Bacus produces themed events in Barcelona and Madrid with integrated artistic direction, audiovisual production, live music, and scene direction.

  • Font de la Canya is an outdoor space in the Penedès region that works well for corporate events of between fifty and four hundred people. Its own architecture and natural surroundings position it as a premium alternative to conventional hall or standard garden venues. Bacus has produced events at Font de la Canya with full technical production, catering, live music, and artistic direction adapted to the space.

  • An internal corporate recognition gala includes artistic direction of the space, an act script with award or recognition presentation moments, a master of ceremonies, audiovisual production to support the script, live music or a curated DJ for the event type, dinner catering, an active bar, and scene direction on the day. Bacus produces this format for corporate clients across all sectors from its Barcelona base.

  • Yes. Bacus produces corporate events with live music — big band, jazz quartet, soloist, pop-rock band — in Barcelona, Madrid, and at outdoor venues in the surrounding area such as the Penedès or the Costa Daurada. Live music is treated as a production element integrated into the event script, not as an act added on the margins of the evening.
