1. General information

This document describes the cookie policy of the website bacusevents.com (hereinafter, the “Website”) owned by BACUS EVENTOS SOCIALES, S.L. (hereinafter, “Bacus Events”), Tax ID B25313743, with registered address at Carrer de Sardenya, 83 · 08018 Barcelona. This policy applies to any user who accesses the Website.

The use of cookies on the Website is governed by Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy and electronic communications (ePrivacy Directive), its transposition into Spanish law through Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) Guide on the use of cookies in its latest published version.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small data file that is downloaded to a user's device when they access certain web pages. Cookies allow the website to, among other things, store and retrieve information about the user's browsing habits or their device and, depending on the information they contain and how the device is used, may be used to recognise the user.

3. Types of cookies by purpose

According to the classification established by the AEPD, the cookies that may be used on the Website are as follows:

  • Technical cookies (strictly necessary): allow users to browse the Website and use the different options or services available (cookie consent management, traffic control, authentication, accessibility preferences storage). Do not require prior consent.
  • Preference or personalisation cookies: allow information to be remembered so that the user can access the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience (language, region).
  • Analytics or measurement cookies: allow the website operator to track and analyse the aggregate behaviour of users to measure activity and produce statistical profiles. Require prior consent.
  • Behavioural advertising cookies: allow the management of advertising spaces and their analysis based on user behaviour. Require prior consent.

4. Cookies used on this Website

At the time of this publication, the Website uses the following cookies. This list is kept up to date according to the tools actually installed in production; in the event of a discrepancy between what is declared here and the cookies present on the user's device, what is declared in the consent management tool shall prevail.

Bacus Events does not currently install behavioural advertising cookies (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads) on the Website. If such tools are incorporated in the future, this table will be updated and the consent management tool will request explicit authorisation before installing the corresponding cookies.

5. International transfers

Some third-party cookies (Google Analytics, Vercel) mean that data may be processed by providers located outside the European Economic Area. Bacus Events verifies that these providers are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, pursuant to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of 10 July 2023. This decision replaces the Safe Harbor regime (revoked in 2015) and Privacy Shield (invalidated in Schrems II, 2020), and provides the updated framework for international transfers to the United States.

6. Consent management

On first accessing the Website, explicit consent is requested to install non-strictly-necessary cookies via a banner offering the following options:

  • Accept all: consents to the installation of all declared cookie categories.
  • Reject all: rejects all non-strictly-necessary cookies. Only technical cookies essential for Website operation will be installed.
  • Configure preferences: allows granular selection of which cookie categories are accepted.

Users may revoke consent at any time by accessing the Website's cookie preferences. Revocation does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

7. Disabling cookies in the browser

Additionally, users can manage and disable cookies directly from their browser settings. The main browsers provide specific instructions:

Disabling or blocking cookies may prevent the use of certain Website features and reduce the quality of the browsing experience.

8. Exercising rights and contact

For any queries or exercise of rights regarding the processing of personal data associated with the use of cookies, users may contact Bacus Events at info@bacusevents.com. Full information on the rights recognised by the GDPR is available in the Privacy Policy.
