MediaMarkt We All Want Everything

Convention · Madrid · 2018

Corporate convention for MediaMarkt Spain in Madrid. A logistics warehouse transformed into five sensory worlds: Caribbean beach, Las Vegas casino, East Asia, Mexico, and formal banquet hall. Silver Award (Best Décor) and Bronze Award (Best Convention), Eventoplus 2018.

The challenge

One night, five worlds, and a brief that asked for everything at once.

MediaMarkt convened its Spanish network in Madrid for the annual convention. The brief did not ask for a conventional convention with a plenary and an institutional speech. It asked for an experience the store team would remember for months and that would reflect the diversity of profiles coexisting in the brand's commercial network.

Bacus's response

An empty warehouse transformed into five sensory universes.

Bacus proposed transforming a logistics warehouse into five sensory universes that the guest moved through during the evening: a Caribbean beach, a Las Vegas-style casino, an East Asian atmosphere, a Mexican world, and a formal closing room. Each universe had its own scenography, colour palette, sound design, and gastronomic proposal. The journey was designed as a free drift between zones, with no rigid agenda.

The experience

The store team moves from one world to another with no intermediate steps.

The arrival at the venue immediately activated the first universe. The transition between zones was designed as a cinematic cut, without long connecting corridors, so the guest moved directly from the beach to the casino without an intermediate journey. Each zone had its own operational catering and service team. The formal closing room concentrated the client's institutional block and the brand address.

The result

Silver for Decoration and Bronze for Convention.

The Eventoplus jury recognised the project with two awards in the same edition: Silver for Best Decoration and Bronze for Best Convention. The combination points to the conceptual weight of the scenic work and the solidity of the format in its main operational category.

  • A compatible venue with sufficient floor area (typically a converted logistics warehouse), an assembly calendar of three to five days depending on scenic complexity, a dedicated artistic direction team, modular technical production with zone-by-zone lighting and audiovisual, catering distributed at stations, and scene direction with a timed script.

  • Yes. This MediaMarkt convention was recognised at the Eventoplus Awards with Silver for Best Decoration and Bronze for Best Convention in the same edition.
